| Batman Actor Kevin Conroy Passes Away |
Kevin Conroy, who was most known for portraying Batman in the long-running Warner Bros. television series “Batman: The Animated Series,” has passed away after a brief battle with cancer. He was 66.
From 1992 until 1995, Fox Kids broadcast “Batman: The Animated Series” for a total of 85 episodes. Critics and comic book fans alike praised Conroy’s rich, gravelly voice as Batman, with many claiming that he was the ideal Caped Crusader. And along that, he made cameos

Conroy was so well-liked for his portrayal of Batman that he kept playing the part in future DC ventures, such as the “Batman: Arkham” and “Injustice” video game series. He also appeared in several DC Universe Animated Original Movies, including “Batman: Gotham Knight” (2008), “Superman/Batman: Public Enemies” (2009), “Justice League: Doom” (2012), “Batman: The Killing Joke” (2016), and “Justice League vs. the Fatal Five” (2019). The 2019 animated “Justice League” film features Conroy’s final Batman-related credit, and his most recent Batman-related video game credit is with Warner Bros. Early “MultiVersus” this year
Conroy told DC in an interview from 2014 that “He’s such a famous character.” He is so deeply ingrained in American culture. It’s fantastic to be a part of and to have contributed to something like that.
Conroy made his feature film acting debut in the 1992 Temstocles López-written and -directed romance drama “Chain of Desire.” He also played a recurring character on the NBC serial opera “Another World” and guest-starred in episodes of iconic shows including “Cheers,” “Dallas,” and “Murphy Brown.”
Conroy’s voice acting skills were not just used for Batman. He has contributed his abilities to properties like “Masters of the Universe” and “Scooby-Doo”. (he voiced one of the characters in the 2019 episode “Scooby-Doo and Guess Who?”). He appeared in episodes of “Masters of the Universe: Revelation” on Netflix (as Mer-Man in 2021) and “He-Man and the Masters of the Universe” from the latter franchise (playing Hordak earlier this year).

In a statement, Warner Bros. Animation claimed that it was “saddened by the passing of our good friend Kevin Conroy.” “His enduring interpretation of Batman will always rank among the best depictions of the Dark Knight in any medium. We join fans worldwide in paying tribute to his legacy and sending our heartfelt condolences to his family and friends.
The most recent work by Conroy was “Finding Batman,” which was presented earlier this year as a part of DC Pride 2022. Conroy is the only out homosexual actor to have played Batman because of his sexual orientation. In “Finding Batman,” the actor described how he dealt with his sexuality while playing the Caped Crusader.

Conroy studied acting at The Julliard School under John Houseman with people like Christopher Reeve, Frances Conroy, and Robin Williams. She was born in Westbury, New York, in November 1955. He is survived by his spouse, Vaughn C. Williams, as well as by his siblings Trisha Conroy and Tom Conroy.
